Navigating the interface
Navigator has a straightforward layout: a left sidebar for navigation and a main content area where you do your work. This article walks you through what's where and how to get around efficiently.
The sidebar
The sidebar runs down the left side of the screen and gives you access to every major section of the platform. Items appear based on your role — if you don't have the required permission for a section, that item won't show up.

The URL structure
Every page in Navigator follows a consistent URL pattern:
kismet.healthcare/accounts/[account-id]/[section]
The account ID in the URL identifies which account you're working in. If your organisation has multiple accounts, switching between them changes this ID. You can bookmark any page in Navigator — including filtered views — and return to exactly where you left off.
Some useful pages to bookmark:
- Your filtered task queue (e.g. tasks assigned to you, status: in progress)
- A specific customer record you check regularly
- A report you run frequently
Working within a section
Each section has its own layout, but they follow a common pattern:
- A list view — all records in that section with key details at a glance
- Filters — narrow the list by status, assignee, tags, date, or other fields
- A detail view — click any record to open its full detail, including history, notes, linked records, and available actions
Filters you set are remembered while you're in that session. Some sections also support account-wide default filters, which your administrator can configure in Settings.
Tips for getting around
- Use the search bar (top of the sidebar) to jump to any customer, supplier, invoice, or contact quickly
- Browser back/forward works as expected in Navigator — use it freely
- Tabs work well — you can have multiple sections open at once
- Filters persist within a session
If a section isn't appearing in your sidebar, your role doesn't include the required permission. See Roles & permissions for what permission each section requires.
