The dashboard

The dashboard gives you an at-a-glance view of your account's current health — customer activity, team workload, invoice volumes, and budget status — without needing to run individual reports.

The Navigator dashboard. Left-side navigation, task list with filters in the centre, and the live metrics panel on the right. Each metric tile is a clickable link that takes you to the filtered view. Tap the + icon to view at full size.

What's on the dashboard

It's the first thing you'll see after the left-side navigation. You need the dashboard.read permission to access it.

The screen is organised into three areas:

Left navigation

A vertical strip of icon + label items on the far left — Search, Dashboard, Inbox, Tasks, Customers, Contacts, Suppliers, Invoices, Extracts, and more. This is how you move between the main sections of Navigator. The current section is highlighted.

Main task queue (centre)

The centre column is your task queue — filtered by what's relevant to you. At the top are the filters (search, any tag, customer, supplier, contact, due date) and the status pills (Pending, In progress, On hold). The Pull tasks from queue button assigns the next available tasks to you from the account-wide pool.

The table below lists matching tasks with columns for Description, Status, Tags, Manager, Customer, Supplier, Contact, Due date, Created, and Updated. Click any row to open the task.

Tasks metrics (right panel)

Four tiles at the top of the right panel summarise the task state across the account:

Each tile is clickable — tap a number to jump to that filtered view.

Invoices metrics (right panel)

Below the task tiles is the invoice pipeline at a glance — ten tiles covering every status an invoice can be in: Review required, Approval not sent, Pending approval, Rejected by Customer, Ready to claim, Claim submitted, Claim disputed, Claim rejected, Claim approved, and Paused. Same clickable behaviour as the task tiles.

This panel gives your team an immediate read on where bottlenecks are — a rising "Claim rejected" number signals upstream data issues; a large "Pending approval" suggests approvers aren't actioning requests.

Dashboard vs reports

The dashboard and the reports section serve different purposes:

DashboardReports
PurposeQuick overview of current stateDetailed analysis of specific data
Best forDaily check-ins, spotting issuesAudits, reviews, exporting data, answering specific questions
Data depthSummary, charts and countsRow-level detail, filterable by date, customer, supplier, etc.
Permissiondashboard.readreport.read

Use the dashboard to get your bearings. Use reports when you need to dig into the detail or share data with someone else.

Permissions

To access the dashboard, your role must include dashboard.read. If the Dashboard item doesn't appear in your sidebar, this permission is missing from your role. Speak with your account administrator to have it added.
