Task fields reference

Every task has fields describing what it is, who it's for, where it came from, and what needs to happen. This is a reference guide to all the fields you'll encounter.

Core fields

These record where a task came from. Set automatically when a task is created from another record.

System fields

AlertsWarning messages shown prominently. Read carefully before actioning.
Communication sourceWhether from a contact, customer, or supplier. Set automatically.
Task typeInternal label used by automations (e.g. new_supplier, onboarding)
Invoice automation statusFor invoice tasks — the result of automated validation
Budget alertLinks back to the budget alert that triggered this task
Claim ruleLinks to the claim rule that triggered this task
Parent taskFor sub-tasks — links to the parent (split invoice tasks)
Created at / Updated atTimestamps
Completed at / Archived atPersist even if the task is later reopened or unarchived
