Task fields reference
Every task has fields describing what it is, who it's for, where it came from, and what needs to happen. This is a reference guide to all the fields you'll encounter.

Core fields
| Field | What it is | Required? |
| Description | Task title — what you see in the queue | Yes |
| Status | Where the task is in the workflow | Yes |
| Complexity | 0–100 score of how complex. Auto-calculated for invoice tasks. | No |
| Due date | Target completion date. Shows a red indicator when overdue. | No |
| Assignee | Team member responsible. Can be unassigned. | No |
| Tags | One or more tags categorising the task | No |
Entity links
| Field | What it links to |
| Customer | The NDIS participant this task is about |
| Supplier | The service provider — typically set on invoice and agreement tasks |
| Contact | A contact associated with the customer |
| Account manager | Read-only. Derived automatically from the linked customer's account manager. |
Source links
These record where a task came from. Set automatically when a task is created from another record.

| Email | The email that triggered this task |
| File | A document attached — usually an invoice PDF |
| Invoice | The invoice record created from this task |
| Phone call | A linked phone call |
| Text message | A linked SMS |
System fields
| Field | What it means |
| Alerts | Warning messages shown prominently. Read carefully before actioning. |
| Communication source | Whether from a contact, customer, or supplier. Set automatically. |
| Task type | Internal label used by automations (e.g. new_supplier, onboarding) |
| Invoice automation status | For invoice tasks — the result of automated validation |
| Budget alert | Links back to the budget alert that triggered this task |
| Claim rule | Links to the claim rule that triggered this task |
| Parent task | For sub-tasks — links to the parent (split invoice tasks) |
| Created at / Updated at | Timestamps |
| Completed at / Archived at | Persist even if the task is later reopened or unarchived |
