Working a task
Clicking a task opens the task detail view — your workspace for a single task. This is where you review what needs to be done, take action, add notes, and communicate with participants and suppliers.
The task detail view
- Task header — description (title), status, tags
- Task properties panel — assignee, due date, customer, supplier, contact, account manager, complexity, linked records
- Alerts and warnings — important flags shown prominently
- Notes and activity — a running log of notes
- Communications — linked emails, calls, SMS
- Invoice panel — for invoice tasks, document preview and editable invoice form
Editing task details
Most fields are editable directly — description, status, tags, assignee, due date, customer/supplier/contact links, complexity. Account Manager is read-only (derived from the linked customer).
Adding and managing notes
- Click Add note in the task.
- Enter a subject and note content (supports rich text).
- Optionally attach a file.
- Save.
You can pin, edit, or delete notes you've added.
Viewing linked communications
If a task was created from an email, the full email thread is shown in the task — read the entire conversation without leaving. For tasks linked to calls or SMS, those details are shown alongside recent communication history. You can reply to linked emails directly from the task view.
Invoice tasks — previewing and editing
If a task has an attached invoice document, you'll see a Preview file button — opens an embedded document viewer alongside the extracted data.
Below the preview, an invoice form shows the AI-extracted data. You can review and correct fields, add or remove line items, save as draft, or submit.
See Reviewing & approving for a detailed walkthrough.
Warnings and alerts
| Warning | Meaning | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Alert message | System-generated note about a specific issue | Read carefully — may direct you to a related task |
| Assigned to someone else | Currently assigned to another team member | Check before taking over |
| Inactive customer | Linked customer is inactive | Confirm whether still actionable |
| Churn risk | Customer or contact flagged as churn risk | Handle with extra care — consider flagging account manager |
